Just call me...Shaklee's Prodigal Son

Hi, my name is Bill Jones and with my incredible wife, Sheridan, I live in Houston, Texas. And, yes, I do feel like the Prodigal Son returning "Home."

I am with Shaklee "again" after a 30 plus year absence. Here's the short story version and how I found my way back.

My foundation, my rock, has always been the insurance industry. Along the way, I have on a couple of occasions added a "sideline" just for variety and challenge. I LOVE working with people and I love building marketing organizations...it's just pure "Fun" for me. As a General Agent in the insurance business, in my agency, I was everyone's 'Boss', but with Shaklee, I could be everyone's 'Partner.'

For 4 years, in the early 80's, I had a thriving and growing Shaklee organization which had spread througout the country, and then, I did the most moronic thing I've ever done in my business career - I left it for "greener pastures." You've heard the old phrase, 'you don't know what you don't know'...I didn't know that I was already with the BEST home-based business in the industry you could ever hope to be with. It took 'leaving' Shaklee to find that out. When you are young, inexperienced and green behind the ears, you don't have "perspective"...you don't have anything to compare or to contrast with your present situation.

I continued with my insurance busines and then in 1996, I was introduced to a networking company that offered a "benefit plan" that was a perfect fit for my insurance portfolio. I worked that business on the side and, again, built an marketing organization with several thousand representatives across the country. I "retired" from that company in 2001 and to this day, continue to receive a very nice monthly residual income check from that company. Since 2001, I've done nothing but Consulting within the insurance industry but it's time for a new challenge and I'm leaving the insurance world for good.

What to do next? Well, my first love is teaching and training (before entering the insurance profession, I was a High School teacher - I would still be there today if it had paid worth a darn). There's no greater kick than to take someone from where they are and help them to get where they want to be. There are some things money can't buy and helping someone reach new heights in the living of their life, that's something you can't put a price tag on.

So, naturally, I go back to looking at companies in the network marketing industry. I want to get back to having pure "Fun" and build a community of like-minded people who want to grow a secure, dependable residual income stream that will give them "peace of mind" for these uncertain times. I have always kept my ear close to the ground within the networking industry - I know how to evaluate companies. After doing a complete due-diligence process, I came to the realization that there was only ONE company that offered the best home-based business opportunity in the industry today - and it is the same company I left over 30 years ago - I wish I knew then, what I know now! The Prodigal Son has returned to Shaklee...it's good to be home.
